Man kills 9-year-old at wedding, injures another
The Kebbi State Police Command has apprehended Muhammad Sani, also known as Kado, for allegedly shooting two children during a wedding ceremony in the Koko/Besse Local Government Area.
The victims, Al’amin Garba (9) and Bello Shehu (7), were shot at the event in Unguwar Magaji. Al’amin Garba succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head, while Bello Shehu sustained serious rib injuries and was hospitalized in Koko.
Upon receiving the report, officers from the Besse Divisional Police Headquarters swiftly responded, arrested the suspect, and seized the firearm used in the attack.
Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Bello M. Sani, condemned the incident, urging the public to surrender any firearms in their possession to help ensure safety in the community. He also called for a prompt investigation and prosecution of the suspect.
