Many feared killed as ‘Wedding Guest’ in Borno turns suicide bomber

In a horrific turn of events, a female suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) at a wedding venue in Gwoza town, Borno State, resulting in numerous fatalities and injuries.

The exact number of casualties remains unconfirmed, but several injured individuals are receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Gwoza.

The bombing occurred on Saturday at Tashan Mararaba near the Fire Service in Gwoza town. According to a survivor, the attacker carried a baby on her back when she infiltrated the wedding venue and set off the explosive device.
