The National Secretary of the Jam’iyyatu Ansaridden Attijjaniyya sect, Sheikh Muhammad Al-Qasim, has disclosed to the public that Maulud celebration would be holding in Abuja on November 9.

This disclosure was made on Wednesday in Abuja, while fielding questions from journalists ahead of the procession to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad.

He called on the sect followers to conduct themselves in an unquestionable manner, and be law abiding while the procession and the recitation of the Holy Qur’an is on going.

The followers were advised by the national secretary not to hold processions in states where there has been a ban on any sort of procession for security reasons.

He emphasized that the sect celebrates the Maulud every year because ”Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a blessing to every Muslim and humanity in general.”

He said that other Muslims picking apart the celebration of the Prophet’s birthday were ignorant and naive.
