Meet Baba Shehu Ibrahim, appointed Director of Works, Unimaid
Engr. Baba Shehu Ibrahim was born in Maiduguri on 22nd August 1965 to the family of Alhaji Mallam Kura and Haja Mafa. He had his primary education at Gwange (I) Primary School, Maiduguri between 1973-1979. He attended Government College, Maiduguri from 1979-1984 for his Secondary education.

He then proceeded to Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri from 1985-1987 for a National Diploma in Architecture. He attended Unithe Diversity of Maiduguri from 1991-1997 where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B. Eng1997) and Masa ter’s degree in Disaster Risk Management in 2012.
Engr. Baba Shehu was appointed as a Technical Assistant to the then Physical Planning Unit, University of Maiduguri in 1986 and he rose through the ranks.
In the course of discharging his responsibilities, Engr. BabaShehu served in various units in the University inincludethincluding e Physical Planning Unit, Works Department and procurement unit where he diligently and efficiently worked
He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers among other Professional bodies. Until his recent appointment h,e was a Deputy Director in the Procurement Unit of the same University.
He enjoys reading and travelling. He is married and blessed with children.
