The Guinness World Records organization confirmed the updated chart of Most Guinness World Records Titles Achieved By Footballers via their official Twitter handle on Tuesday, August 1st.

Messi’s 41st record was achieved during Inter Miami’s 4-0 Leagues Cup victory against Atlanta United, where he scored two goals. Notably, his second goal during that match has reportedly become the most-watched live event in American history, with 3.4 billion online views.

Among his impressive achievements, Messi holds the record for the most goals in a Champions League match (five vs Bayer Leverkusen), the most World Cup matches played (26), and the most goals scored in a calendar year (86 in 2012).

With these accolades, Messi has solidified his place as one of the greatest footballers of all time. While Ronaldo is just behind him in terms of Guinness World Records, both players have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the sport.
