Multichoice to remove TB Joshua’s Emmanuel TV from DSTV, GOtv after BBC documentary

Multichoice DStv has announced its decision to discontinue the transmission of Emmanuel TV, a religious network founded by the late TB Joshua of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), following reports of controversies surrounding the deceased clergyman.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Multichoice’s decision will come into effect on January 17, 2024.

An on-screen notification on DStv read: “Dear viewer, please note that Emmanuel TV will exit on the 17th of January 2024. Thank you for watching.”

In addition to ending its partnership with Multichoice, Emmanuel TV is set to cease broadcast on StarSat and various other pay-TV platforms.

The decision comes in the wake of a BBC investigation into the late preacher and his church, which included interviews with at least 30 alleged former members and workers of SCOAN.
