“My husband no longer loves me” – Wife tells court
A housewife named Hassana Adamu has requested that an Upper Area Court in Gwagwalada, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) dissolve her 10-year marriage to her husband, Danjuma Ali, on the grounds of lack of love and interest.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Hassana stated that their marriage had produced three children.
Hassana told the court, “I have lost interest in our marriage and no longer love my husband. My husband has abandoned me. He no longer enters my room and is no longer interested in me. I want the court to dissolve our marriage because of the lack of love and interest.”
However, Danjuma responded by stating that he still loved his wife.
The judge, Malam Abdullahi Abdulkarim, advised the couple to explore ways to settle their issues.
Abdulkarim asked Hassana if she would be willing to accept her husband back if he did everything she asked, but she answered in the negative.
The case was adjourned until May 2.
