Obinna Igbokwe commits suicide after shooting wife, killing grandmother

A Nigerian, Obinna Igbokwe, based in the United States of America, has committed suicide after shooting his wife and killed her grandmother in Texas on Wednesday.

According to report by ABC13, the unfortunate incident started on Wednesday evening, when deputies were called to a shooting on Aldine Westfield and Rayford and found two women who had been shot in the head.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office confirming the report said Igbokwe, 41, shot his wife, identified as Tangela Igbokwe, after she told him she wanted a divorce, he was also accused of killing his wife’s grandmother, identified as Linda Larkins, who died at the scene.

The wife is said to be in critical condition at a hospital.

The report also stated that after the shootings, Obinna took off with with his three-month-old son in a 2008 white Honda Accord but later dump the boy at a hotel and said he would be right back, but never returned.

“At about 1:05 a.m (Thursday)., officers with the Ennis Police Department located Obinna’s white Honda and tried to stop him. After a short chase, the Honda stopped in a parking lot and a gunshot was heard from inside the car,

“The police tried to save the suspect’s life and called for medical help, but he died at a Dallas hospital at about 5:20 a.m.

“The baby, Mansa, was unharmed and has been reunited with his family,” ABC13 quoting the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
