Nigerian embassy in Morocco supports students ahead of Nigeria vs Tunisia AFCON match
Story by Aisha Alhassan Usman, Morocco
In a commendable show of support for Nigerian students in Morocco, the Nigerian Embassy has secured match tickets for students wishing to attend the highly anticipated AFCON match between Nigeria and Tunisia scheduled for Saturday, 27th December.
The initiative, which targets Nigerian students currently residing in Morocco, is aimed at fostering unity and national pride while easing the financial burden that often comes with attending major sporting events. For many students, the cost of match tickets can be a significant barrier, making such opportunities inaccessible despite their enthusiasm to support the national team.
By stepping in to cover this gap, the Embassy has enabled students to rally behind the Super Eagles without the added strain on their limited resources. Beyond football, the gesture highlights a broader commitment to student welfare and community engagement, reinforcing the bond between Nigerians abroad and their homeland.
As anticipation builds for the clash, the initiative has been widely welcomed by students, who view it as both a morale boost and a meaningful acknowledgement of their presence and contributions in Morocco.
