Osinbajo, other dignitaries attend Gov. Also-Akala’s burial

Eminent personalities across the country, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday attended the burial ceremony of Former Oyo State Governor Adebayo Alao Akala, as his remains were laid to rest in his country home in Ogbomosho.

The burial service was held at the premises of Ogbomosho Baptist Conference, and was attended by political associates of the former governor, including his admirers and close family friends.

Ogbomosho town, in Oyo South Senatorial District stood still on Friday as eminent Nigerians pay their last respect to the former Governor, Chief Adebayo Alao Akala who died on January 12, 2022.

Security was tight at the ceremony, around and within the premises of Ogbomosho Baptist Conference, where a memorial service was held in memory of the late politician.

Serving and former Governor, former and present members of the National Assembly as well as prominent politicians were in attendance, including the late Governor’s immediate family.
