Palace Bombing, Deposition Near-miss: Late Ohinoyi of Ebira faced peril due to his support for me – Natasha Akpoti alleges

Natasha Akpoti, a lawyer and politician, has claimed that the late Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, HRM Ado Ibrahim, faced assault and persecution due to his support for her.

She stated that former President Muhammadu Buhari intervened to prevent the monarch’s deposition following a bombing of the palace.

Natasha made these allegations during an interview with Channels TV after the Court of Appeal affirmed her victory in the Kogi Central Senatorial election held in February.

She expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the Ohinoyi, emphasizing his significance in her life and regretting that he couldn’t witness her success.

In Natasha’s words: “I am pretty much in a mourning mood because we lost His Royal Majesty the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, he was like a father to me. I have known him pretty much all my life and I wish he was alive to witness this day because he was a pillar. Ohinoyi was persecuted, he was attacked for my sake, his palace was bombed and he was almost deposed if not for the intervention of the immediate past president, Buhari”.
