Businesswoman alleges threat to life, accuses husband of plot over property

A Nigerian businesswoman, Esther Okereke, has taken to social media to allege that her husband of eight years, Justice Okereke Ezechimere, is plotting to harm her in order to take control of her house and other assets.

In a series of videos and posts shared on Instagram, Esther claimed she has endured maltreatment from her husband and some members of his family throughout their marriage. She said tensions escalated recently after she returned to Nigeria from a business trip to Vietnam.

According to her, she discovered upon her return that certain personal documents were missing and that her husband had moved out of their residence. She expressed fear for her safety and insisted that she no longer wishes to continue with the marriage.

“I want a divorce, but I am scared,” she said in one of the videos, alleging that any harm that befalls her should be blamed on her husband.

The claims have since generated widespread reactions online, with many users calling for authorities to look into the matter and ensure her safety.
