Shehu said such crises have over the years crippled many businesses, led to the shutting down of many enterprises as well as the relocation of some entrepreneurs from the state for fear of destruction.

The chairman of the waste recyclers added that the endemic crises in Plateau state have continued to instil fear in the minds of investors, he opined that if Plateau was a peaceful state, it would have now developed into a big commercial city in the country.

He described the unrest as regrettable and detrimental to the socio-economic progress of the state blaming it on hoodlums from both Islam and Christian faiths.

“Plateau state has no reason to go into flames again long as the host communities can continue their accommodating nature without regards to the narratives of settlers been paraded around to achieve personal gains.

“I was born over 50 years ago and even my father was born here too. We have been living here with everyone peacefully, doing business together and so many other things, but all of a sudden, we don’t know what happens. Plateau is now chaotic”. He said.
