Police: AIG Longe hands over to Soyemi in Nasarawa

The outgoing Commissioner of Police, Bola Longe has handed over the command of Nasarawa State Police to his successor, Adesina Shoyebi.

At a brief ceremony, the outgoing Commissioner of Police who has recently been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Bola Longe.

The new Commissioner, Adesina Soyemi said he attended the University of Ife where he obtained a BSC in geography and later law at the National Open University of Nigeria.

According to him, he joined the Police as Assistant Superintendent of Police on 15/3/1988 and has worked in various capacities and attended training in Nigeria and abroad.

“I was CP Federal Operations at Force Headquarters, Abuja before I am deployed to Nasarawa State and I am taking over from AIG Bola Longe who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and posted as AIG Operations at Force Headquarters, Abuja”. He said.

In his remarks, the outgoing Commissioner of police, Longe thanks the people of Nasarawa and calls on them to cooperate with the new Commissioner and security agencies for sustained peace.
