Police arrest six suspected cult members in Enugu

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested six suspected cult members during a security operation aimed at curbing cult-related violence in the state.
According to the police, the suspects were apprehended at different locations following intelligence-led raids on known cult hideouts. Items believed to be linked to cult activities were also recovered during the operation.

The command said the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to restore peace and ensure the safety of residents, particularly in areas affected by cult clashes and criminal activities.
The suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations. Police have urged members of the public to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and useful information.
