Police officer slumps, dies while eating

Police officer slumps, dies while eating

A policeman has been confirmed dead after he slumped while eating in an eatery.

The deceased, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) attached to the Zone 9 Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), slumped while eating in Umuahia, Abia state.

He was said to have just resumed from an official duty with his team and decided to have something to eat before resuming his duties.

He however started behaving in an unusual manner and slumped.

He was subsequently rushed to the Central Police Station clinic on Bende Road, but he wasn’t attended to due to unavailability of medical practitioner.

He was later transferred to the Federal Medical Center (FMC), Umuahia, where he was confirmed dead.

Although there has been no official statement released by the command, his lifeless body has been deposited at the FMC morgue.
