Police seal Plateau Assembly complex over speakership crisis
The Plateau State House of Assembly complex has been sealed off by the state police command.
The speakership crisis in the state may not be unconnected to the sealing.
As at 5 am, a team of anti-riot policemen arrived at the Assembly complex and barricaded the main entrance.

A source told DAILY POST that the house is divided into two factions, each loyal to the current speaker Yakubu Sanda and the reinstated speaker Ayuba Abok who was impeached in October 2021.
Neptune Prime reports that a High Court had reinstated the impeached speaker, Ayuba Abok on Monday, who stormed the complex the next day to take charge of the Assembly.
