President Tinubu arrives in Borno for Nigerian Army annual conference

President Bola Tinubu has left Abuja for Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, to attend the Nigerian Army Annual Conference, where he will be the Special Guest of Honour.

The president’s departure from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport’s presidential wing took place at approximately 10:35 a.m. on Monday.

This visit to the North-Eastern region is the first since President Tinubu assumed office.

According to a statement by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, the opening ceremony will involve the address to troops of Joint Task Force North-East Operation HADIN KAI.

The president will also inspect the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri and the laying of the foundation stone of Headquarters 7 Division by the Special Guest of Honour.
