Principal confirms abduction of 287 students from schools 

The Principal of LEA Primary School in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state, Sani Abdullahi, has confirmed that a total of 287 students from the primary and secondary schools were abducted by bandits.

Abdullahi, who was one of those kidnapped but managed to escape with some students, shared this information during a visit from Governor Uba Sani.

In his update, the principal disclosed that 187 students from the secondary section and 125 from the primary section were taken, with 25 of them later returning safely.

He also sadly mentioned the loss of a brave vigilante member who was trying to rescue the victims and has now been laid to rest.

Governor Uba Sani, in response, reassured the community of the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safe and prompt return of all the abducted students.
