Renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gero Argungu, is dead
Sheikh Gero Argungu, a highly respected Islamic scholar, breathed his last on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, after a brief illness.
The news of Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu’s passing was disclosed by Sheikh Dr. Abdullahi Bala Lau, the chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bidi’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS).
Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu had earned immense respect within the Muslim community for his contributions to the Islamic faith and his role as a spiritual leader.

The funeral prayer for Sheikh Abubakar Gero Argungu is scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm on Thursday at the Idin Sarki mosque in the town of Argungu, located in Kebbi State.
