Sani Abacha’s 36-year-old son dies in Abuja

Abdullahi Abacha, the second to the last son of the late Nigerian military ruler, Sani Abacha, has died at the age of 36.

Family sources confirmed the death to newsmen on Saturday and said the deceased died peacefully in his sleep at the family’s Nelson Mandela Street residence in Abuja.

“He was hale and hearty last night but was found dead this morning. He died peacefully in his sleep,” said the source.

The source revealed that he was buried according to Islamic rites on Saturday in Abuja.

Abdullahi Abacha was born in 1987 and was one of nine children left behind by the late military leader.
