Shot Katsina doctor alive, responding to treatment – Police
The Police Command in Katsina has confirmed that Dr. Murtala Sale-Dandashire, a medical doctor who was shot at Kankara General Hospital, is alive.
DSP Abubakar Aliyu, the police spokesperson, shared this update with the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday in Katsina.

The news of Dr. Sale-Dandashire’s shooting had spread rapidly on social media, with reports claiming he had been killed by terrorists. However, Aliyu clarified that while the doctor was indeed shot, he is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Katsina and is responding well.
Additionally, Aliyu revealed that the terrorists who carried out the attack also abducted three individuals. The police are actively working to apprehend the perpetrators and secure the release of the kidnapped victims.
