Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

Former Kano State Governor and Defense Minister under former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Monday in Kano said that the quality and standard of education has fallen since he left office because of the poor infrastructure.

The former governor also called for total unity and understanding among his followers across the country as this is the only way PDP will be successful in the 2023 coming general elections, especially in Kano State, where his Kwankwasiyya branch of PDP is doing everything possible to form the next government in the state.

According to him, those who are in government in Kano today are responsible for the fallen standard of education in the state.

Similarly, the former senator who has been presiding over series of meetings of PDP Kwankwasiyya branch in Kano, since he arrived in the state last week described Kwankwasiyya as a platform of dedicated politicians who are interested in developing the state, especially in areas of education, health, human development, women empowerment and to reduce unemployment.

He described as unfortunate, the present administration in the state that has its agenda of amassing wealth from government coffers, at the detriment of the masses that elected them to provide quality and qualitative education, security, peace and upliftment of the standard of living of the poor.

As such, they are going to work hard to ensure that PDP Kwankwasiyya branch formed the next government in Kano State, and if this is achieved, definitely, they are going to take a second look at the programmes which were abandoned by this administration, especially the foreign scholarship programme, girl child education, women empowerment, security and peace.

He similarly explained that PDP Kwankwasiyya branch under his leadership in Kano have no crisis, and by the grace of God will not face any crisis as long as he remains the leader of the party. Those that left them because of their individual ambition in 2019 and worked with the government in power to deny them victory in 2019 are today treated as strangers in the APC government in the state, but shame will not allow them to come back to PDP which they left without genuine reason in 2019.
