A tragic incident unfolded at the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) after a student fell victim to a cult-related clash, with several others sustaining injuries.
The distressing incident occurred on Friday morning when a group of students from Imo State University (IMSU) reportedly infiltrated the FUTO campus in a convoy of motorcycles, sparking a tense confrontation.

Amidst the escalating confrontation, the situation turned fatal when the FUTO Man O War commander suffered a fatal stab wound to the neck inflicted by one of the IMSU students. Tragically, the severity of the injury led to the immediate demise of the commander.
The untimely death of the FUTO Man O War commander and the injuries sustained by others have plunged the university into mourning and disbelief. This disturbing incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by cult-related activities on university campuses, highlighting the urgent need for enhanced security measures and concerted efforts to eradicate such threats from academic environments.
