Supplementary elections will hold in Adamawa, Kebbi, others on 15 April – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that supplementary elections will hold in relevant states on 15 April.

This comes after the commission declared governorship elections in Adamawa and Kebbi states inconclusive.

In a post on its official Twitter page on Monday, INEC said “Arising from its meeting held today, the Independent National Electoral Commission has decided that all outstanding Governorship, National and State Assembly supplementary elections will take place on Saturday 15th April 2023.

In Kebbi and Adamawa, the 18 March governorship elections were declared inconclusive by INEC and supplementary elections will hold in some polling units in both states.

In Sokoto State, all the National Assembly seats in the state were declared inconclusive after the 25 February elections.

Other states where supplementary National Assembly elections will be held are Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Edo, Imo, Jigawa, Kano and Kebbi States.

Others are Kogi, Oyo, Rivers, Taraba, Zamfara, Plateau, and Yobe States.
