Bayelsa governor, Douye Diri, dumps PDP Story by Tawheed Yakub, Abuja The governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Daniel Alabrah, Diri’s chief press secretary, announced the governor’s resignation on Wednesday. He said Diri resigned from the opposition party alongside 19 members of the house of assembly. His resignation is coming just few hours after Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State also dumped the PDP to the All Progressives Congress.
