Tinubu seeks NASS approval for ₦1.77tn fresh external loan President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally requested the National Assembly’s approval for a new external loan of ₦1.767 trillion, as part of the 2024 appropriation act. The request was presented to lawmakers by the Speaker during Tuesday’s plenary session. If granted, the loan will help cover a portion of the ₦9.7 trillion budget deficit for 2024. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has also submitted the 2025-2027 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) to Parliament, along with the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP)...
