Former Senate President's corpse abandoned in London over funds The remains of late Senator Joseph Wayas, who presided over the Senate of Nigeria during the Second Republic (1979-1983) is reportedly been abandoned in a London hospital. Following a protracted illness which some family members attributed to poverty, Wayas passed away in December 2021 in a London hospital.
