President Bola Tinubu has concluded a three-day official visit to Equatorial Guinea, departing from Malabo, the nation’s capital, on Friday afternoon.

His departure from Malabo International Airport at 4:03 PM was marked by a formal send-off from Equatorial Guinean Prime Minister, Manuela Roka Botey.

During the visit, President Tinubu engaged in significant diplomatic and economic discussions, resulting in key agreements aimed at strengthening the relationship between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.

Notably, one of the major outcomes was the signing of the Gulf of Guinea pipeline agreement, a strategic initiative that promises to boost economic cooperation in the region.

Additionally, the two nations agreed to revive the Nigeria-Equatorial Guinea Joint National Commission, setting the stage for numerous bilateral activities scheduled to be launched in November.

This resuscitation is expected to enhance collaboration across various sectors, reinforcing the longstanding ties between the two countries.

The President’s visit is seen as a pivotal step in advancing Nigeria’s foreign relations, particularly within the Gulf of Guinea, as both nations continue to explore new avenues for mutual growth and development.

President Tinubu’s diplomatic efforts in Malabo have been well-received, further cementing his commitment to fostering strong regional partnerships and promoting economic stability in West and Central Africa.
