Troops arrest lleged Boko Haram drone supplier, seize equipment in Adamawa operation
Troops of the Nigerian Army operating under Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected drone supplier linked to the insurgent group Boko Haram during a security operation in Adamawa State.
According to military authorities, the suspect, identified as Dauda Usman Gubula, was apprehended at Madagali Motor Park following actionable intelligence. He is alleged to have been supplying unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and related accessories to insurgents operating in the North-East.
Items reportedly recovered from the suspect include two drones, drone accessories, and approximately 20 solar power banks, believed to be intended for use by the terrorist group to enhance surveillance and coordinate attacks.

The arrest forms part of ongoing counter-insurgency operations aimed at dismantling the logistics and supply networks sustaining terrorist activities in the region. Military sources also confirmed that additional suspects were detained in related operations, while troops neutralised three insurgents during engagements in parts of Borno State.
Security officials stated that intelligence-driven operations would continue across the North-East to disrupt terrorist financing, arms procurement, and technological support systems.
The development marks another effort by Nigerian security forces to curtail the operational capabilities of Boko Haram and restore stability in affected communities.
