UNIZIK student bites lecturer over TikTok video

Chaos erupted at the Faculty of Arts, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, after an unidentified female student attacked and bit a lecturer during a heated confrontation.

The incident, which took place on campus, began when the lecturer, Dr. Chukwudi Michael, interrupted the student while she was recording a dance video in the faculty corridor. Eyewitnesses reported that the student was dancing with someone filming her when Michael attempted to pass by.

The lecturer tapped her shoulder and said, “Excuse me,” as he walked behind her. The student, visibly upset, responded, “Can you imagine how he just hit me?”

The argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation, with the student grabbing the lecturer’s clothes forcefully, and onlookers attempted to intervene.

A viral video, shared widely on social media on Tuesday, captured the moment when the student lashed out at the lecturer, insisting she had been hit. Another clip showed the lecturer raising his hands in apparent restraint while the student clung to him aggressively.

In online chat discussions, it was reported that the lecturer approached the student, requesting that she delete the recording due to his face being visible. However, the situation escalated, leading to the student biting his hand several times.
