Varsity student blocks boyfriend after ₦150,000 Valentine’s gift, posts another man
A University of Ilorin student allegedly blocked her boyfriend after receiving ₦150,000 worth of Valentine’s gifts from him, and was later seen with another man.
The heartbreaking incident was shared by X (formerly Twitter) user @drow_een, who claimed the heartbroken boyfriend was seen crying in front of a school hostel after realizing what had happened.
According to the post, the young man had spent a significant amount on Valentine’s gifts for his girlfriend, hoping to make the occasion special. However, after accepting the presents, she allegedly cut off all contact with him and later posted a different man alongside the gifts he had sent her.
The post read: “So this boy in my school spent ₦150,000 on his babe’s Valentine’s gift. She took everything, blocked him everywhere, and then posted another man along with the gifts he sent her.😭🙌🏾 The boy was crying in the middle of the night in front of Arafims🤣 God abeggg.”
As the story gained traction online, netizens flooded the comments with mixed reactions, with many expressing sympathy for the young man while others saw humor in the situation.
