Why I regretted helping fan who travelled to Kano to see me – Kannywood actress Humaira

Story from Saleh Inuwa, Kano

In a recent statement, popular Kannywood actress, dancer, and singer Aisha Humaira expressed her dismay at a boy whom she had generously assisted but who has now become a burden and a source of trouble for her.

Humaira explained that she had received a call informing her that a boy had traveled all the way from Bauchi to Kano meet her but had fallen ill and required urgent medical attention. She promptly visited the boy in the hospital, paid his bills, and ensured that those who had taken him to the hospital were compensated. She then brought the boy to her house, provided him with necessities, and even invited his parents to come from Bauchi, taking care of their needs and arranging for their return.

However, Humaira sadly narrated that a few days later, the boy returned to Kano claiming that the money, clothes, and handsets she had given to him and his family were stolen. Moreover, he expressed his intention to stay with her in Kano, which left her feeling disappointed. Despite this, she gave him money again and arranged for his return to Bauchi. However, he once again resurfaced in Kano after a few days.

Humaira, known for her philanthropy alongside fellow Kano film producer Dauda Kahutu Rarara, stated that this incident has made her more cautious when it comes to offering assistance. While she continues to be ready to help people, especially those in need during difficult times, she is concerned about being deceived by those seeking help. She clarified that she is not currently adopting anyone and emphasized the importance of being cautious in such situations.

Humaira further emphasized that she has always been dedicated to assisting her colleagues in Kannywood and supporting religious causes, taking inspiration from her mentor, Rarara.
