Story from Sa’adatu MAINA, Damaturu

Yobe State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Alhaji Mohammed Lamin, has urged the Yobe Broadcasting Corporation (YBC) to make judicious use of the transmission time extended by the state government for better broadcast.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Director of Information services in the ministry, Husna Ibrahim.

According to the statement, the added time is expected to improve the services of the station to the public which requires creation of good contents that supports the recovery process of the state government.

“The ministry is appreciative of the kind approval for the extension which comes from a popular demand by the public, and indicates interest and support as well as delight in the programmes of the station.

“Commendation to YBC, and all journalists in the state for efforts in disseminating government policies and programmes to the public and bridging the gap between government and the masses”, the statement said.

The Commissioner assures that the government will continue to provide adequate and favourable working conditions and equipment to improve broadcast services.
