An inferno whose source is yet to be known has razed the part of Potiskum Main Market Gate 4 where local mat sellers sell their wares on Saturday night.
The fire was quenched through the assistance of market men yet to leave the market, the Fire Service and some good Samaritans around.

The Market Association Chairman, Alhaji Isa Sakatare and the association’s Welfare Officer, Alhaji Bashir Abubakar, were seen going round the market to ensure calmness while officers of the various security agencies are in the market to safeguard people and property.
