22 suspects arrested over murder of Kaduna indigenes in Plateau – Governor Sani

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has announced the arrest of 22 suspects in connection with the murder of 12 indigenes of the state in Plateau State last Saturday.
The governor stated on Monday this when he visited the surviving victims of the attack at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.
He described the killing of the 12 Kaduna-born wedding guests in the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State as barbaric.
He said he has been in touch with Plateau’s Governor Caleb Mutfwang and President Bola Tinubu to ensure that all those involved in the attack are brought to justice.

He commended Kaduna residents for being peaceful iΓn the face of the provoking incident. He urged local leaders in Plateau to caution their people from carrying out such a dastardly act.
Sani had called on security agencies to immediately arrest and prosecute the perpetrators.
The victims were said to be travelling from Zaria in Kaduna for a wedding in the Quan Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State when they were intercepted by the mob at Mangun District.
The travelers were killed instantly, while several others sustained various degrees of injuries.
