3 Nasarawa lawmakers escape assassination attempt along Akwanga-Lafia road

Three members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Wednesday narrowly  escaped an assassination attempt along Akwanga- Lafia Highway while coming back from a burial ceremony.

Those involved in the attack at about 10 am Wednesday morning were Hon Samuel Tsebe (APC- Akwanga South), Hon David Maiyaki (APC- Karu/ Gitata) and Hon Peter Akwanga PDP- Obi 1.

According to Vanguard, the gun target was on the vehicle of Hon Tsebe as Hon Akwe was in his car ahead followed by Hon Maiyaki, who was also in his car. Hon Tsebe was coming behind in his car when the assassins shot at his car.

This is coming few days after Captain Abdulkareem Na’Allah, a civil pilot and son of Kebbi’s Senator Bala Na’Allah, was strangled and found dead inside his bedroom at his Government Reserved Area (GRA) residence in Malali, Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Similarly, in July this year, gunmen killed a Nigerian army general, Hassan Ahmed, as he was travelling along the Lokoja-Abuja road from the capital, Abuja.
