48-year-old Nigerian killed while delivering food in US

A 48-yr-old Nigerian, Noel Njoku has been reportedly shot dead in the United States.

Njoku who was working as a delivery man was shot and killed while on his job in Mitchellville, Maryland, USA, on Thursday morning, August 12, 2021.

The victim, married with a wife and four children: two daughters, age 15 years and 13 years, and 11-year-old twin boys.

According to NBC Washington, Njoku was found suffering from gunshot wounds at about 12:20 a.m. in a car in the 3700 block of Lottsford Vista Road.

Preliminary investigations revealed Njoku was delivering food to a home in the area when he was shot. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. It wasn’t immediately clear who killed Njoku or why the police said.

“Njoku was a happy, “peace-loving person” who moved to the U.S. from Nigeria decades ago. He had only recently started working for DoorDash, his brother, Chidi Njoku, told newsmen.

“Please, anybody who has any information should come and help us out, ” he said in tears.
