6th Anniversary: Gov. Buni unveils progressive initiatives for youth empowerment (Pictures)

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni said the state has developed a comprehensive plan aimed at empowering young people and addressing unemployment in the state.
This announcement was made during a town hall stakeholders forum held on Thursday, marking the governor’s sixth year in office.
Responding to inquiries from Sa’adatu Maina, a reporter for Neptune Prime Newspaper, Governor Buni highlighted several key initiatives that the state government has implemented to boost youth empowerment.
Among these initiatives are a school feeding programme for secondary school students, foreign scholarships for higher education, and various employment opportunities tailored for the development of the youth.
The governor emphasised that these programmes are designed not only to provide immediate relief from unemployment but also to equip the younger generation with skills and opportunities that will secure a brighter future for Yobe State.
“Our commitment to the youth is unwavering, and we believe that investing in their education and well-being is investing in the future of our state.

“The school feeding programme aims to improve the nutrition and retention of secondary school students, thereby encouraging more young people to pursue their education.
“Alongside this, the foreign scholarship initiative is expected to broaden the horizons of Yobe’s youth, enabling them to gain global knowledge and experiences,” Governor Buni said.
He urged stakeholders and members of the community to support these initiatives, stressing that collaboration is crucial in achieving the desired impact on the youth and the state’s overall development.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to creating an environment where young people can thrive and contribute positively to society.
