One dead, several others injured as rival groups clash in Jos North LGA

A clash between two Sarasuka groups have left one person dead and several others injured in Jos North Local Government Area Council of Plateau State.
The deceased, identified as Usman Musa, aged 21, was cut on the web of the brutal attacks between the rival groups on Wednesday night at about 9 pm, along the Anguwan-Rogo community of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State and was stabbed to death.

Neptune Prime’s correspondence who was at the scene of the incident gathered that the victim was stabbed in his neck when one of the rivals stormed the area in a revenge for the previous clashes.
Abba Musa, an elder brother to the deceased who also confirmed the incident said that Usman was a victim of circumstance as he was never a member of Sarasuka or any rival group.
He said: “The victim just went out of the house when suddenly he met with the culprits who were on a revenge mission in the area. Apart from him (deceased), they also wounded other passersby who they met when they arrived in the area.”
The spokesman of the State Police Command, ASP Ubah Gabriel, didn’t respond to the calls and SMS put across to him, however, police personnel were deployed to the area to restore law and order in the community.
