Civil Defence arms bearer charged to be professional in official duties

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Personnel in Kogi State have been charged to be alive to their constitutional responsibilities.

State Commandant of the Corps, Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara, gave the charge at a one day workshop organised for all arms bearer under the State Command in Lokoja.

Commandant Mafara said the need for the workshop became imperative in view of recent security development in the country.

He urged them to be more tactful and discharge thier duties with high sense of professionalism it deserves at all times.

The Commandant reiterated the need for the officers to embrace high spirit of synergy with other sister agencies and avoid unnecessary rivalry and undue competition, but to remain focused in the protection of lives and property of citizens.

Other resource persons at the workshop called upon the rank and files to continue to broaden their operational and intelligence knowledge on the job to achieve maximum outputs.

He commended the Commandant General, Doctor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for his diligence and professional acumen in which the issues that took place in Imo State were handled.
