Gov. Sani Bello pays homage to Emir of Kagara
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has paid Sallah homage to the Emir of Kagara, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Gunna Attahiru II, at his Palace in Kagara, Rafi Local Government Area.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mary Noel-Berje, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State.
Governor Sani Bello who congratulated the Emir on the successful end of this year’s Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Fitr  celebration, prayed for peace to completely return to the state and the country at large.
The Governor also used the opportunity to commiserate with the Emir on the death of an illustrious son of the Emirate who is also his Senior Special Assistant on Local Government Affairs and Former National President of Association Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Alhaji Gambo Tanko Bojoh.
He described late Bojoh as a distinguished as well as respected personality and prayed Allah to forgive his shortcomings as well as grant him Aljannah Firdausi.
Similarly, the Governor sympathized with the Emirate over the nefarious activities of terrorists and observed that normalcy was gradually returning to the area.
He assured that government will  continue to evolve measures  towards ensuring a secured society.
In his remarks, the Emir of Kagara, Alhaji Ahmed Garba Gunna Attahiru II, expressed delight over the Governor’s visit and show of love, concern  and commitment for the people.
He appreciated the Governor for the decisive actions taken against insecurity which has led to a significant decline in attacks, adding that there is relative peace in his domain which made the Sallah celebration peaceful.
