Police apprehend man who crossdresses to steal in female hostel

A 25-year-old man identified as Jika John is currently in the custody of police operatives in Adamawa State over alleged criminal tresspass and attempt to commit theft.
The suspect, who hails from Michika Local Government Area but resides at Sabon Pegi in Wuro Chekke, Yola South LGA in the state, was arrested on Monday 6th June, 2022.
His arrest was informed by a distress call from the College of Nursing and Midwifery Yola, where he had tresspassed to perpetrate the alleged crime.
The suspect, Neptune Prime gathered, entered the college in order to steal gas cylinder in the female hostel so as to sell it.
John, while speaking to newsmen at the headquaters of the Police Command, denied being there to steal, he claimed that there was a girl in the school who asked him to pay her a visit ‘in order to have sex’.
He narrated that they made an arrangement with the girl on Sunday 5th June, 2022 against Monday for convienence as all her room mates will not be in the hostel, saying that he went and wore female clothes so as to have easy access to the hostel.
He explained that he was apprehended by the security while on his way to the hostel between 7:30 to 8:00 pm, insisting that their plan was to “go and have sex and not to steal”.
Fielding questions from newsmen, the OC Crack Squad, of the Police Command CSP Ahmed Danjuma Gombi, said that it was not true that he was in the school to have sex with a lady but to steal gas cylinders in order sell them.
