NUJ commiserates with Yobe gov’t, family over Commissioner’s death

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Yobe State chapter has condoled with the family, government and people of Yobe State over the demise of the Commissioner of Youth, Sports, Social and Community Development, late Hononourable Goni Bukar Lawan.

According to a condolence message issued by Comrade Rajab Mohammed, Chairman of NUJ Yobe Council, the late Commissioner’s death is a great loss to the state as his exit has created a huge vacuum.

He prayed Allah forgives the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him Aljannah.

Late Goni Bukar Lawan died in an accident near Dambam, a community in Bauchi State on Tuesday afternoon while on an official trip to Kano State.

He was buried at Gwange graveyard in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital according to Islamic rites.
