Some suspected terrorists operating in the Batsari forest area on the Bakiyawa community in Batagarawa Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State, have reportedly abducted 50 persons, killing one and injuring 4 others.
The recent attack took place Wednesday night at about 11:pm when the residents had gone to sleep, according to AIT quoting a source in the community.

The terrorists arrived in the community on about 40 motorcycles shooting sporadically, went from house to house, demanding money, and asking for the breadwinners of the families, the source added.
It was gathered that about 60 animals were also rustled, while the terrorists faced no resistance, operating freely for about 3 hours.
A nursing mother who is among the abductees, returned with some others, after trekking in the forest for about 2 hours.
While the police and other relevant authorities are yet to make any official statement or confirmation, the source added that the injured are currently receiving treatment at a facility within the metropolis, while the dead, simply referred to as Tukur Gambo, has since been buried.
