Local hunter shoots self after mother cautioned him against beating 4-year-old son

An Adamawa based local hunter has shot and killed himself after his mother cautioned him against beating his 4 years old son.
The hunter, known as Usman Alhaji Audu, of Gada Maisaje, Gombi Local Government Area intentionally used his serviceable single barrel dane gun and shot himself to death.
Neptune Prime gathered that the incident occured on Wednesday, 19th October, 2022, throwing the entire community into mourning.
Witnesses reveal that the 4 years old boy left home but did not return on time as he was said to be playing with his peers which took so long.
Upon the boy’s return, his father descended on him and beat him mercilessly which attracted the attention of his grand mother, the mother to the deceased.
The mother was said to have cautioned the local security man against beating up his son to that extent.
Late Usman, who became angry with his mother, told her that it is better for him to terminate his own life and leave the world for her.
It was as a result of the cautionary word that the deceased hurriedly entered his apartment, turned a dane gun on himself and shot himself in the stomach to death.
He was rushed to a hospital in Gombi where he was confirmed dead and was buried according to Islamic rites.
When contacted, the spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje confirmed the incident, saying that the police is investigating the matter.
