Gov. Buni bags most media friendly governor award from NUJ

Story from Sa’adatu MAINA, Damaturu

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has been awarded the most friendly governor by the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) in Yobe State.

Receiving the award on Wednesday, Gov. Buni charged working journalists in the state to live up to expectations while discharging their duties to the public.

The award ceremony was held at the banquet hall of the government house in Damaturu and had in attendance veteran journalists from various forums.

The governor appreciated the leadership of the NUJ Yobe State Chapter for the recognition.

He charged conventional media practitioners to be steadfast, dedicated, fair in their reportage else the unregulated media will succeed in misinforming the society.

Similarly, the governor held an interactive session with the state media organisations and other working journalists which dwelt intensively on ways to improve the working condition of journalists in the state.
