Christians help Muslims renovate Eid mosque in Kaduna

A group of Christians have helped Muslims with the renovation of the main Eid mosque in Kachia town of Kaduna State.

The Christians came out, men and women, to support the Muslim community in cutting the grass at the Eid Mosque, as they did in 2022.

Mercy Bajimi, one of the Christians who came out to help the Muslims cut the grass on the Eid mosque ground told the newsmen that, “We came to help our Muslim brothers so that the place where the Eid prayer will be held will be cleared, so they can pray, worship in peace and tranquility”.

Malam Ibrahim Tasiu, a Muslim in the community said, “We were in the process of repairing the Eid field, and a group of Christians arrived, there were many of them, men and women, and we were working with them, as they did last year.

“We do many things that increase our peace and love for each other like visiting each other when something happy or sad happens.

Then we prepare to eat Sallah meals during Sallah and Christmas.”

The religious leaders said they hope the friendship and unity continues in the region.
