Somali forces foil al-Shabab attack, eliminate 43 militants

The Somali National Army (SNA) announced on Monday that its forces had successfully neutralized 43 al-Shabab militants and inflicted injuries on several others during a meticulously executed operation in the Galgaduud region of central Somalia.

In a statement issued from the capital, Mogadishu, the Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism reported that the SNA forces had also obliterated three battle wagon vehicles belonging to the extremist group during the mission.

Additionally, the Somali army, in collaboration with local forces, thwarted another attack in the Middle Shabelle region earlier on Monday.

This operation marks a significant escalation in the Somali government’s efforts to mobilize public support for the ongoing offensive against al-Shabab, underscoring its determination to rid the nation of the extremist threat.
