Nigerian Lecturer marries student he proposed to in classroom
A lecturer at Abia State University, Uturu, recently tied the knot with a female student whom he proposed to in a classroom on Valentine’s Day.
The ceremony took place on April 6th at Saint Paul’s Anglican Church in Aba, Abia State’s commercial center.
“The lecturer, Wisdom Anucha, captured hearts when he proposed to his student Novella Grace in front of their classmates, with images of the heartfelt moment quickly going viral on Facebook“.
“While some criticised the gesture, university authorities stated that it didn’t violate any regulations or ethical standards.”

The couple celebrated their union with a festive wedding reception at Ngwa High School in Aba. Mr. Anucha shared a touching photo of him and his wife on Facebook, captioning it with a reference to the Biblical account of Adam and Eve, highlighting the joy of companionship.
